WHAT IS THE SOUTH MILAN DOMUS

THE PROJECT

THE PROJECT - Building the future

The Domus Milano Sud project was born from a careful observation of the potential and expectations of the area, from listening and the ability to read the changes taking place. The reality we are experiencing has greatly accelerated its change and requires rapid, effective and innovative responses.

When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb he was certainly not trying to improve the candle! Innovation (according to Alec Ross's thinking) arises when imagination is combined with action.

The major innovations in history, in fact, were generated by moments of great difficulty, in which action had become indispensable.

HOW CAN AN ENTREPRENEURIAL PROPOSAL GUARANTEE THE GREATEST CHANCE OF SUCCESS?

We must invest, to put it in the Anglo-Saxon style, in a proven "Product market fit", that is, we must operate in a "market", with a product capable of satisfying this "market".

The "Sources" of our "market" are near, not delocalizable, lasting and growing.

Domus Milano Sud satisfies this "market" because it has innovated, also on the stimulus of what has been learned from recent events and has applied the necessary additions and corrections to what has existed up to now.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO OPERATE IN AN OPEN CITY, IN A DIFFUSED CITY?

It means knowing how to combine, connect, weave the relationships between the historic city, the suburbs, the territory, with the new accumulation poles and the new sources. It means seeking new balances with nature and the landscape, in search of the beauty of places and works, to make the world a better, more livable, healthier, more interesting place.

Renzo Piano uses the term "mending" a territory, which also means operating quality interventions, capable of generating oxygen that immediately enters the territory, spraying it. Public buildings or buildings intended to be frequented by the public, by people of different ages, are important nodes of the fabric, of the plot.

Domus Milano Sud offers buildings, technologically advanced, beautiful and functional in architecture, on a human scale and respectful of the environment, intended for young people who are trained in advanced universities; to people who are cured by fighting the disease and who want to maintain an active life. Domus Milano Sud represents a work of high social and human value, created with a spirit of enterprise.

DOING BUSINESS MEANS ALSO GIVING CONCRETENESS TO A VISION

Domus Milano Sud is inspired by and is consistent with some of the 17 interconnected objectives approved by the UN Assembly in 2015, as a strategy "to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all" (Agenda 2030).

Among these, in particular, goal 3, to achieve a healthy life and well-being at all ages; goal 4, for inclusive education; objective 5, for gender equality; goal 7, for clean and accessible energy; goal 8, for decent work and economic growth; goal 9, for innovation and infrastructure; goal 10, for the reduction of inequalities; goal 11, for the development of sustainable cities and communities; goal 13, with climate actions; goal 15, for reforestation and the natural environment; objective 17, for partnerships and meetings between young people.

To a greater or lesser extent, everyone is responsible for advancing the quality of life in the world to which we belong.
